Effective January 25, 2007 the Schwenksville Borough Council Approved a new trash contract with Ches-Mont Disposal, Inc.

Trash collection day is Tuesday.

For the disposal of Bulk, items with Freon (air conditioners, refrigerators, etc) please call Borough Hall 610-287-7442 by 2pm Friday before the Tuesday pickup so hauler can be notified with the information.  The cost for these items will be $65.00 and will be added to the residence next bill. 
Non-Freon bulk item pick up (washers, stoves etc.) must also be called in by Friday 2:00pm.

All trash should be put inside the Ches-Mont Toter and recyclables in recycling bin.  Please do not use any other containers for the trash or recyclables.  If toter is full, one extra bag on the side is allowable.

Billing Information

• Single-family residential/townhouse - $78.00 per quarter plus a $4.00 Administrative fee.
• If property owner pays bill within 10 days of receipt, a $4.00 discount applies.
• Additional discount applies for property owners paying for entire year of service if such payment is made within 30 days of the beginning of the calendar year ($312.00 for annual service if billed paid within 30 days of receipt of first invoice).
• In the event quarterly bill is not paid within quarter, bill will be deemed delinquent and a late fee of $10.00 for each quarter will be assessed and added to outstanding balance.
• Additional toters are $17 per month.

Trash Requirements

• Put trash out the night before pickup.
• Return the toter and recycling bin from the sidewalk as soon as possible after pick-up.
• Store the toters and recycling bin in a discrete location, in an effort to minimize the visual impact for the neighbors.
